A triptych is an arrangement of three panels. Its impact comes from the relationship between them, so choosing the right size means considering all three canvases and the two spaces between them.

Measure the complete arrangement
If the three panels have equal widths, multiply one finished panel width by three, then add both gaps. If the panels differ in size, add their widths individually.
For example, three panels each 45 cm wide with 5 cm gaps occupy 145 cm overall. Three 60 cm panels with the same gaps occupy 190 cm. These examples illustrate the calculation rather than any particular product size. Check the product listing and finished frame dimensions before ordering.

Choose the position before the size
Above a sofa, bed or dining table, centre the whole arrangement on the furniture beneath it. On an open wall, take nearby doorways, lamps and other objects into account. Check both the available width and the height: tall panels can feel oversized in a space with a low ceiling.

Test different gaps
Try a 5 cm gap as one paper-template option, then compare a closer or wider arrangement. The aim is to keep the three panels visually connected while giving each frame enough separation. Keep the two gaps consistent unless the design's instructions specify otherwise.
Stand at the distance from which you normally see the wall. A gap that looks wide close up may look different from across the room.
Plan the hanging points separately
Check the intended panel order against the product images. Measure each frame and hanging fitting, mark the proposed top line and use a level. Follow the supplied installation instructions and use fixings appropriate for the wall and artwork weight.
Before drilling, check for cables and pipes. Ask a competent installer for help if you are unsure of the wall construction or suitable fixings.
Check what the listing includes
Confirm the set includes three canvases and whether the stated dimensions refer to each panel. Select the frame finish and ask for finished outer dimensions if the arrangement must fit a precise space.
